Gisborne is the place we've decided to build our forever home. It's kind of like a country town , but close to everything. I am sure the old folk of Gisborne would like to see it remain as a country town as it once was, however today its changing and growing. We're contributing to that and have bought a piece of carved up old farmland which has now been converted to suburban blocks.
Our block is about 1200sqm so fairly large. We're the last one to build in the street, which is great for us, but not so great for our neighbours. Today we visited Gisborne and took the above pic on our block - in the background you can see Mt Macedon.
We spent today walking through the Gisborne Markets - held on the first Sunday of the month - always lots to see, buy and eat! I love to visit the craft, flower and gardening stalls to get a dose of inspiration.
We did have a great little find today at the market - a wooden horse. Not sure where it was made or its history. It's a great 'conversation piece' for the house. I'll google it and see what I can find out about it - maybe something for Antiques Roadshow - haha.
